Some may recall on other threads the phenomenon I have been experiencing recently where I start the truck and FP hovers around 5psi, then slowly sweeps up to 15psi (idle) after a few seconds of truck operation. Well, I managed to pry my Smarty out of my buddy's not-quite-cold-dead hands and have reinstalled SW#7. Now that I have readjusted my right foot to the supreme throttle response and have tuned my ears in to the sweet sound of 80mph with timing :D I have noticed that my FP jumps right up to where it should be immediately after starting.

Coincidence?

Is there anything in Smarty that when being programmed back to stock SW might cause a change in the way the ECM sends voltage signals to LP during starting cycle? Bob? Marco? Anyone else found the same thing?

Most likely the two items have nothing to do with each other, but in my experience with this truck, very little happens of coincidence.

Thanks

Tim

Hopefully Bob or Marco will chime in.

I saw zero difference in LP pressure before or after Smarty. With exception that pressure might dip slightly lower at WOT.

The only thing I noticed on mine was that the lift pump used to run a few seconds when you first turned the key on and now it runs only for about half a second. This is apparently due to the updated software. I believe this was a programming change Dodge made to solve a hard starting issue.

I had thought that this was my case as well until I changed my fuel guage sensing line. The LP ran for at least 20 seconds each time. Pretty much surprized me.
