I recently bought and installed a Smarty on the truck. A few days after the install (running SW#3, mod. torque managment), the CEL came on and it threw a P1751 (Trasmission throttle valve position sensor minimum range) code. I've never had this code before. The code clears but then re-develops several starts later. Despite trying several different SW levels and different TM levels (stock, mild, moderate), it continues to recur.

Now the CEL light is coming on with the same code in the STOCK setting.

Does anyone have experience with this code? Is the TVV sensor or solenoid shot, or do you think it is a function of some software mismatch? What do you think the next best course of action would be?

Thanks for the help,

Jason

Well I guess no one else is experiencing this problem. Interestingly, in my attempts at trying different combos of torque management and SW #, I found one combo that wont throw the code - Mod. TQ, SW#1. Not sure what's so special about this programming, but no CEL in 4 days.

I am convinced that this is a software issue (maybe specific to my truck and trans upgrades). Hopefully there will be a fix at some point.
