What's the best download for the smarty? I went to the mads website and their are two downloads for the s-o6. One is the revo and I believe one is the revo tnt. What's the difference and which gives the most power? Thanks

Ur sig mentions a 98. The S-06 does not work on that year rig. But besides that the REVO TNT is supposed to give the most power. I have found that with my year (03) the REVO gives the best power. I get a bad popcorn popping noise when I run the TNT.

My truck is a 03 also. Whats the difference between the two? By the dates posted next to each download it appears that the revo is the most recent of the two. Thanks

From Mads site;

"The REVO TNT software has been written for trucks with extensive modifications. The horsepower levels start around 100 Hp on

CaTCHER # 1 and reach 230 additional Hp on CaTCHER # 9. These HP gains are referred to a “close to stock” engine but

depending on your modifications can be more. With correctly modified and tuned engines we have seen gains in the 400+ Hp range

above the stock software. On the higher settings a stock engine can NOT take full advantage of it because the fuel and air supply

from the stock parts are simply not enough . Aftermaket, turbo, injectors, lift pump, injection pump, automatic transmission AT LEAST

are required! Also a good insurance against valve float at high boost levels is a good set of stiffer valve springs. If you need valve

springs or not depends upon several factors like max boost pressure reached, rev range and of course the mileage of the stock

springs. "

With your mods listed, I would stick with just the REVO version. I got the smarty when it frist came out so mine is an S-04. The download page for the S-04 has yet to be updated. I am not sure what Marco has changed on the Aug 2009 REVO version for the S-06.

On a side note I pushed over 550hp and 1260 ftlbs with the REVO software and a bit shy of 450hp on the REVO TNT.

I have an S-04 also, And I also have a fairly early version of the TNT that Bob emailed to me. SW6, TQ2, TM3, RP1, is as high as I can go with the TNT software, without popping and bucking. All the odd sw's. . no work, sw8 no work, but sw6 with the parameters above, works flawlessly.

I have not dynoed it against the 411 software, but it feels stronger, especially from 65 mph+. And I just made 19 mpg hand calculated from Helena to Spokane 2 weekends ago.

I am really liking this tune, I had previously tried almost every combination of sw's, tm, tq, rp, with the TNT, it would at first seem ok, and then the popping and jerking. I had almost erased it from my pc, went back to Revo and 411 several times, but it has been on my truck for almost a month now, without a hitch.

I have the beta's also, but they run too hot, and too smokey for the same performance.

Here is a thread from another site about my dyno run. It has been awhile and I guess I fudged on the actual numbers, but I am very happy with my setup.

Sorry guys it looks like the other site has that thread in the members only section.

Basically this is what it said.

I kept the Smarty at Level 9 REVO (Torque Management = Wild, Injection Timing = for Aftermarket Injectors, Rail Pressure = Wild)

And then changed the PowerMac CR as noted below.

554 hp and 1021 tq = PowerMax CR (Power = 4, Torque = 2, and Rail Pressure = 2)

544 hp and 1235 tq = PowerMax CR (Power = 3, Torque = 3, and Rail Pressure = 3)

JLewis what software do you have now? Be careful downloading the new softwares off the website, you will not be able to go back.

If you have an older software, there are alot of different versions you can try, and still go back and forth. Once you download the latest off the Mads website, because of upgraded flashes from Chrysler, you cannot go back to previous versions.

Hey JJPage, When I dynoed my truck I felt like I was running out of fuel and starving the rail. Have you had that happen?

While on the dyno, my rail pressure gauge did not reflect a lack of fuel, I held an even 25/26k, Smarty 411 on SW9, EZ/2, TST 2/0. But, when I set the TST to 3/0, I lost hp, but my rail pressure did not decrease according to my gauge. TST on 2hp/0tq Stacked with Smarty and EZ, got my truck over 600hp, any higher on the TST and my CP3 would not keep up. Likewise, I found that when running the TST ONLY, if I set the TQ above 2 it would tax my rail too soon, it would increase my torque, but lower my hp.

I never run any TQ settings on my TST while stacked with Smarty, truck doesn't like it, acts like the TNT tune on sw7/9 (on our 03's)

I too found that the TQ setting on the TST drained the rail before max HP was achieved. My next mod is a CP3 as I think that is what is needed with my setup. But I do like have the TQ set high for off the line romping. The truck gets up and goes in the 1/8mile.
