I have a Smarty and I get about 32# max boost. I have been reading other threads on the smarty and boost fueling and want to confirm if I understand them. This is what I think after reading lots of threads and the download info from Mad's.
The stock smarty program does not boost fool. You need to download the software for stock injectors and aftermarket turbo to get boost fooling.
Is this wise with a stock turbo? It appears you could get into problems with overboosting. Would it be safer to get like a Quadzilla Boost Fooler to use with the stock smarty software? (Quadzilla indicates only about 40-45# max with their boost fooler. )
Another question I have is regarding the downloads:
For the downloads for stock turbos & stock injectors, it indicates downloads for "stock torque management" and "mild torque management increase". The latter download is the "standard smarty software".
This indicates to me that my smarty came with the "mild torque management increase" ... "standard smarty software". And that it is more agressive torgue management than the "stock torgue management" program. Is this correct?
Finally, what exactley does the differences in "torgue management" mean in real world driving of your truck? And if I download a new program can I go back to stock smarty by downloading the program called "standard smarty softwar"?
