Smarty Feul Savings

Now that I can adjust the Smarty Power-on-Demand settings with my Edge Insight, I have been running the truck with no load at 60% power and it appears that I am getting 3 or 4 MPG better milage. Has anyone had experience with this? Is there any downside other than less power (which I don't really notice)?





2007. 5 3500 running Smarty 67 and Edge Insight. Laramie Cherry Red short bed. 32ft Montana 5th.

Is this hand calculated or by looking at the overhead? I get 2. 5 mph better mileage hand calculated on my 5. 9 running my Smarty Jr. on the towing setting. If I believed my overhead, I'd be getting 6 better. Once you have installed tuners, boxes etc, the already inaccurate computer gets even more inaccurate.

I run my Smarty on SW5 and bet between 18 and 19 around town, and 21 to 23 highway depending on how fast I run.
My overhead runs about 1 mpg higher than hand calc.

Tuners will alter what the Overhead Lie-O-Meter tells you. You have to perform hand calculations. My truck will tell me I'm getting 28 when I'm actually getting 20.
