Smarty Jr. has "Cold weather 3 Cylinder High Idle".

Smarty has "manual high idle".

Are these the same thing?

How you activate or use the high idle feature?

Thanks,

Louis

I have never heard of the Cold weather 3 cylinder thing

I have my high idle enabled on my truck, not sure if it works on the 03's

Depending on your build date you may or may not be able to get high idle using the cruise buttons. The following link details the steps that need to be done that Dodge says will enable it.

Thanks guys. That helps alot.

I was trying to turn on cruise and push the accel button w/o first pushing SET...

Not very intuitive...

BTW - Smarty Jr website says it has 3 cylinder high idle on the products page. Its listed in the features.

It says it on both the Smarty Jr & Sr specs but it only valid for the VP-44 trucks.

Bob, need to get the web master working on the content updates there. ;)

I can't get the high idle feature to work on my '03.

Anyone know why?

Thanks,

Louis

Since you have a Smarty you probbaly need to have the ECU flashed to load the correct version of software so the feature is available.

Depending on build date you may have to have a whole ECU reprorammed to be able to enable the feature. Follow the link in my previous post and it will explain the steps, dates, etc. What steps do you use to activate it?
