Now what's next as far as a turbo and clutch. I hope some of you guys have some suggestions. As for the clutch I'm going Southbend but don't really want a super tough pedal feel. Any suggestions? And as far as a turbo what would work great at 5,300' in the air with very little lag and the occasional pull? And still be enough for a little fun at the track.

Greg

Oh yeah i already have gauges, AFE Stage II intake, 4" Turbo Back Exhaust and an AFE Blade Runner that has not been installed yet.

south bend FE would be a good option for that range, and i say that because you also have 33'' tires which adds to the equation. but no 3rd gear launches and i don't know how heavy i would tow with it. i personally had experience with the FE and would't have bought it if the DD was available at the time. knowing now that 500hp. is just where i like to tow my 15k toy hauler. definetly go SBC DD if you think your gonna want to tow at 500hp.

Would this clutch be the best for street use and city driving? SBC DD 3250 Street!

this clutch can be used for street and city, i live in a smaller rural town now and don't get all the light to light traffic. you have to keep in mind that you will need upgraded hydraulics with the double disc due to the high pressure plate loads. which means the pedal will be a bit heavier than the FE single disc. both clutches will be more aggressive than a stocker but if power is what you are after than you obviously have no choice.

if it were me i would go double disc with a 3250 plate load but i am 6'5'' and 250lbs so the heavy peddle is still fairly effortless.

Greg,

Are you finally going to up the HP & TRQ in that beautiful truck you drive? Be careful as it will get dirtier with that extra power as you will want to be driving it more. Let me know how this works out for you as I am looking at getting a power adder also, but have not decided what to go with yet. I want to be around 600hp again. It will take a while to get there as I have more time than money right now. I'll talk to you later.

Thanks for all the input guys. I got the SMARTY today and just finished loading up sw5, all I can say is I can't wait to drive it some more tomorrow the power on level 5 is ridiculous(wonder what the others are like:-laf).

Hey Mike long time no see man, yeah I finally fell down that slippery slope to bombing. Let me know if you want to get together sometime and you can see if this programmer is the one for you. I can't get the smile off my face. Hope things are going well for you. I recently had a Job/Life change as far as work goes (definitely for the better).

Do any of you guys running the 411 version get any smoke at all. I don't get any more than when it was stock(not that its a bad thing) but man is it fun to drive now. :--) I'm currently running level 5 but might try level 3 for economy sake.

You'll start to see more smoke when you can get on 9... that's all I ever run and love it. It's still not much smoke though, especially compared to the older smarty tunes.

You can always go ahead and load up 9... it will speed up your clutch purchase:-laf.
