Smarty JR on higher mile truck?

I was looking to buy a smarty jr but I am on the fence about buying one, because I have 170,000 miles on my truck and origanl injectors. Should I be consernd?

Whats the worry?Your Cummins is just broke in. Get the smarty Jr and enjoy! I love mine better mpg/lower egts and love the power. My only worry would be your transmission on level 3 at that miles.

Thanks for the reply, I just read about the how adding a programmer can shorten the life of your injectors, and being at 170,000 miles I think that I might be on borrowed time. I really don`t tow alot of weight just my camper trailer and a utility trailer. I`m looking to get more MPG, then power. But I also want dependability and not do any damage to the transmission. I had the clutch changed at 100,000 miles.

The Jr doesn't add pressure, so your injectors won't know the difference.
