Smarty jr or cam?

My 06 is getting rebuilt, If the budget allows what would be the better choice smarty jr or a cam? I currently have a bully dog, the one with Crazy Larry tune.

I would get the cam, the 3rd gens with the "in chamber EGR" grind are known to be a anti power/mileage. Then later when more funds are available the smarty can EASILY be added AT ANY TIME. This is the best time to do the cam.

I agree, the cam is cheap to do now and expensive later; whereas a Smarty Jr costs the same either way.

The Hamilton 178/208 is a great towing/economy cam and is on the edge of needing HD valve springs if you can swing it. If you don't want to worry about upgraded valve springs I would look at the Stage 2 or Stage 3 (depending on use) from Colt.
