Oil Pump Bolts Question

I cant decide which one to get. Right now I am running the edge Juice W/Att w/hot unlock. But when towing, even in setting 1or 2, the EGT's are way too hot. I want to go to the smarty but not sure which one to get. Which ever one I get, do I need to get a boost fooler or should I stack it w/ something?

When I tow, its a 35ft 5er 13K#. Also, not in my sig yet is AD 150 along w/billet transmission parts

No you dont need a boostfooler, as Smarty already does that.

If its a daily driver/tow rig/play toy, get the Revo. You can turn it down for towing, and then turn it up for play.

Now if you dont want the all-out power, get the Jr. Although theres a good chance that if you get the Jr. , you'll eventually want to try the Revo, or Revo TNT

Thats kinda what I was thinking. W/the Revo/TNT does it need to be plugged in everytime to change power settings or is it shift on the fly? From what I understand its plugged into the OBD II right? So you cant leave it plugged in?

Im a black and white kinda guy so no matter how many times i read it... . I dont get it. If we plug it in to the OBD; how can we change power levels while driving if it is unplugged after programming? I dont know anybody who has one (in fact I dont know anybody who shares the same interest in these trucks as I do)

The Smarty is adjustable on the fly plugged in with the "POD" addition, the standard version you unplug after tuning. I think the pod is also availible for the jr. I run the Sr. with the Revo TNT tune. For some the smarty is a bit smokey seems to react pretty different with each truck. TNT sw1 I can put the truck sideways really easy and am getting around 15-16mpg daily mixed driving. I dont do many extended freeway miles. For me the standard Revo smoked more than the Revo TNT.

Its just hard to leave the convienience of the Edge where I can see everything and change it w/ the push of a button; I just dont like the Temps. I'm gonna jump in and go w/ the Revo/TNT and a set of ISSPRO gauges, I had those on a stroker I had years ago and liked them. Everyone swears by the smarty with their lower than stock EGT's while in tow; I see 1500 regularly w/ the edge while in tow.

POD is available for both JR and Smarty.

What you do is load whichever tune you want, say SW 7, TM1, timing 2, RP 2, wastegate off, into the ECM via the OBDII port... from there, with the POD, you have from 1-99 levels you can adjust it to (think of it as a percentage of the tune applied-you can actually use the POD feature to make LESS horsepower than even the stock tuning). So you can either unplug after the initial download, and then plug it in and adjust the percentage, then unplug again. Or there are OBDII cables that allow you to extend the cable to a more convenient location (say the center console) and you can leave it plugged in all the time.

Ive never used the POD, as I tend to be on the side of the fence that doesnt feel I need adjustability. Its easy enough to change the SW via standard download

Thanks, makes a bit more sense. So you are fine tuning the effect of the chosen tune. Does it really make that mush of a difference. Seems like that if you were to slice a pie in 99 pieces, 1 piece wouldnt really do anything. Maybe Im reading into it too much; I tend to do that.
