If I have a Smarty JR (ME) for an 07 with a 6. 7 can I down load the software for a 2011 truck when it becomes available?

Well, good news. I emailed MADS as advised and this was the answer... ... .

Hello,

yes, we are working right now on the software for 2011 trucks. It will be compatible to all the Smarty JR67ME.

Quick update. I have installed the performance setting in my 07. 5 and my truck has gained 2 mpg on the overhead. I know this is not accurite for fuel mileage but I do believe it to be a good indicator of an increase in mileage. Planning a trip next month and will be tracking for actual numbers. It will be the same drive as in the past so I will be able to compare the before and after.

You may gain a little bit of mpg, but MY overhead reads several mpg higher on the higher performance settings, when it is actually close to the same as before. Good luck, though.

Well it makes me feel better after just paying 3. 95 a gallon to fill up. I plan on getting an official calculation next month on a trip i have made several times. I know what i have gotten in the past so i ave a good base line to compare.

Well Im back from my trip and as promised here are my real numbers. 656. 4 miles and 36. 9 gal give me 17. 7 mpg. In the past my best with the same load was 15. 9. So that is a 1. 8mph improvement. Funny thing is my overhead was extremely close showing 18. 2. Oh and for those wondering, I ran 70-75 on the hyways and 75-80 on the turnpike.

I can report that my truck, while towing 8000lbs, has been getting, on average 20L/100kms. Which is about 14mpg.
With the Smarty Jr installed, set on fuel economy, it has dropped to 16. 3l/100kms or up to about 17mpg.
Not a scientific test, but an improvement for certain.
I think I'll set it on "performance" and set POD on about 50 or 60%.

I have a 500 mile trip next week (with no load), it will be interesting to see what mileage it gets.

I have my Smarty Sr. set on SW1, and get 17 to 18 mixed town and state road driving, and have seen up to 22 on the interstate driving the speed limit. keep in mind I don't hammer on my truck, if you do, it loves it's fuel :D

These figures are hand calculated, and never more than 1 less than my overhead.

The overhead in my '03 was very close also.

Update on the mileage for my Smarty JR. I still have not made any changes to my truck except for the JR running on the performance level and POD at 99% and am happy to report I am running between 17 - 18 MPG in my real world combined driving. It will come down in the 16s while driving mostly city and up in the 19s while driving mostly hiway.

Update on my mileage. I completed the remainder of my planned mods and have driven my truck enough to feel comfortable to post this. My mileage for everyday travels has been 19. 2 mpg calculated And for all the overhead haters mines shows 20 mpg.

What setting are you guys running on?

Just curious what settings are you running your Smarty on to see great mileage like that?
