With the Smarty Jr what are the torque increases on levels 1,2 and 3 with a stock 2004 HO motor? On the level 1 (40 HP) is it going to be close to the 2004. 5 325/610?

This was given to me a couple days ago.

baseline 555. 00

1 615. 00

2 709. 00

3 763. 00

rounded numbers :)

These were the dyno torque numbers. stock 2003 except aftermarket 62/14 turbo, F1 springs and SBC dual disc clutch. stock injectors.

Sounds like the level 1 would put no more stress on my truck components than the stock 325/ 610 motor! I'll be a customer in the am!

I was going to say if you were on the fence about buying the Smarty JR I would meet you and you could try my rig which is on level 1 right now. This is by far the best investment I have made to the truck. I have only had it on for a few days so mileage gains are yet to be seen, but the power off the pedel is much better. I always had a little timing rattle which has gone away,no more smoke then stock and loading it up my egt's are maxing at 1100 degrees at 35 lbs boost pulling the grade to Tahoe-use to hit 1300 degrees. When I get a tank or two thru her for mileage checks I will try level 3 just to see what it feels like but will stay at this level till a future transmission rebuild by Goerend.

You light weights,,, step into the S-06 and run like a locomotive!!! :)

If the Smarty Jr. would've been available when I bought my S-06, I probably would've went with the Jr. Unless you're going to do some serious pulling or racing, what's the point? You have to spend money on injectors, turbos, clutches/built up ATs, fuel pumps, other boxes (TST) etc. to take advantage of a full blown S-06 SW over 5. I intend to keep this truck for a good long time. Heavy BoMBing is detrimental to engine life. The HP curve is inversely related to engine life.

I'm 6'5' and 365lbs so I don't think lightweight fits me at all. The Smarty Jr is perfect for my use. I just am so pleased that it exceeded my expectations. I plan on keeping this truck for many moons so pumping it to the sky is not my bag-but have fun with yours!:)

Damn i just bought a mp-8 awhile ago and now this. i just don't think my transmission would like the 2 together. but it might be fun.

Edgemann55 thanks for the offer. I went ahead and ordered a Smarty Jr. . From everything I have seen posted this is just what I have been looking for. Towing our living quarters horse trailer here in the Sierras I just needed a little more so I could be a little lazier and not have to shift out of 6th as often going over some of the passes. We go through Dayton alot on our way to some of our endurance rides. Growing like crazy there also!

I was looking for a little more torque on the 40hp setting. An edge EZ is supposed to give 700 ft lbs at the 40hp setting. I guess the 615ft lbs would be at the rear wheels. I wonder how much the 62/14 turbo would affect the numbers. Peak torque on the 555 is at 1400 and the 600 is at 1600 rpm. Well once I get my truck across the 49th I'll find out how she does.
