Smarty NO-GO

I got may smarty today, read the directions and plugged it in and got message

UNKNOWN SOFTWARE.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

smarty is one smart dude, If smarty don't know who you are he wont even talk to you :-laf



There is a trick though. Turn the key on without starting the truck. now hold sown the #5 key and plug smarty into your obd port, then release the #5 key.



When you reach the update screen press #1 a time or two and write down the string of numbersand letters.



Then call your seller for details.

does that mean if you put a smarty on your truck and then returned it to stock and sold the smarty then it may have issues on the new truck?

Waiting for Marco to get the program updated as DC just released new software for my '06. I had it at the dealer Tues. for CEL and they updated the ECM.
