Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smarty or code reading equivelant

Anyone located near Ione/Jackson CA area have a code reader to diagnose a check engine light. We're up visiting family for the weekend and didn't want to make the trip back without finding a code. The truck kinda shuddered and then had a bit of dead pedal. I pulled over to check it out and saw nothing outta the ordinary, truck drove the next 20mi back to the house fine. We have a FASS pump, and the banks stinger plus kit on it. Ordering a smarty for hers as soon as we get home. I'm just looking for a peace of mind i guess

I am out of town this week, so I can't help you, but check with one of the local shops. Imler Diesel, Orangevale Diesel, Diesel Nut Motorsports... all are around Sacramento area.

If you have an Autozone close, they will let you use one for free at the store. At least around here they do.

Thanks for all the help guys. I went ahead and talked to Jason. My 04 is over there anyways. The codes were P0121 and P0236. I cleared them off and put another 200 miles on her today. Nothing popped back up. I can't help but think the OttoMind has something to do with it. I guess we'll just wait and see.
