Hey guys I am trying to make a big decision here. Any POLITE input would be helpful. If you have nothing to say a show of hands (simple, smary-triple dog answer) will be fine by me. Id like to make this decision today

i would say the bully dog is more well known, and is on some high hp trucks, while the smarty just came out and is in the proving stages, though it seems better. Oo.

I like th fact that you can shift on the fly with the outlook monitor and the triple dog combo... It's to bad you can't shift the smarty on the fly. There you go Marco, work on a monitor that you can use with the SMARTY with and shift on the fly.

That would be AWESOME

or at least make it like the BDDL and make ONE download and then just press a button to go up or down in levels, that would be nice

I have the BD Triple dog and like the power gains... . I leave it in tow/haul... have the updated low end drivability for the automatic trans (NICE!!)... gets 20+ mpg on the road and works well... can be updated via the internet link with BD and has 3 power levels that are easily changed without the monitor... (easier with the monitor)...

I cant really say its better than the smarty or anyone elses...

I like what I bought... thats all I can say-BJ

Just what everyone else has said. If you are looking for a everyday shift on the fly programmer that makes nice power, the BDDL is your ticket. If you are looking for good track performance go with Smarty.

1. Bully Dog is a big company that doesnt live on one guy. +

2. Smarty seems to have a lil better technology. +

3. Both have upgradable on internet. ++

4. Smarty seems to have more fine tuning. +

5. Bully DOg is cheaper. +

add if you would

3 to 3 the jury is still out

I have the triple dog on my 06, I like and it & is working good lots of xtra power.

If the smarty comes out for the 06 maybe I will try it. :)

Smarty's Untraceable +1 Smarty

Another one for smarty, definatley hands down. Tons more power than the triple dog. Its more comparable to the BDDL CL, but the triple dog falls far behind. At least on my two trucks and my buddies truck which we tried the smarty on yesterday. Lot of ecm problems with the bullydog stuff. And NO, I said aboslutely NO help from bullydog as to why. I'll never own another bullydog product. 5 fried ECM's so far. And their resonse was "Maybe you downloaded it wrong" .

I have both and have tried both on the drag strip. The Smarty on my truck produces much better 1/4 ETs. Smarty smokes more than the BDTD CL daily driving and they both have touchy throttle. I don't run any downloader for normal driving, I just use them for racing at the track. TST 2/1 and EZ 1 for normal driving, better mileage and no smoke at all.

Well, I just leave mine on level 9, which is the highest. EGT's are very controllable. I'm amazed at how low the egt's are compared to the BDDL CL. Or any other performance module really. my egt's are 1300-1350 at WOT. With the CL I can hit 1600 no problem. The smoke is a little crazy with the Smarty, but what kind of diesel performance guy doesn't like smoke. I do :D . It may be the truck I have, but I've had about every module thats on the market besides the PPE downloader. And everytime I've been dissapointed. The BDDL CL was pretty nice. The BDTD sucked bad. TST EZ was ok, but very dissappointing compared to what its supposed to do. My truck with the TST/EZ, DDP sticks and the HT Sledpuller 66 was outrun by my buddies completely stock 04. 5 with a BDDL CL. Thats when I decided to sell the TST/EZ. And the trucks are identical down to the tires. And his shifting isn't very good. I wish i had gotten the Smarty before I pulled the sticks. I bet it would have ran awesome with that combo.
