2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What does a bed go for?

Has anyone ran a Smarty or Catcher on an otherwise stock 2nd gen ETH? I am considering doing just that and would like to know the approximate power increase.

About like an EZ - 40-60 HP. But even with an EZ its how the power comes on down at the bottom end. A stock truck is a dog until about 1800 rpm, with a box or Smarty it is on from the go.

Dennis, I will give you a shot and try it and if you do not approve I will be glad to make it right.

nothing to lose. I would value you input :)

I am not 100% stock, I have the 275 injectors, "intake" and exhaust. This is nothing like an EDGE which left me wondering if the box was broken or not. No clue what the HP number increase is but it is much more responsive.

I ran the Smarty with 275's for a couple of weeks and it runs so much smother, and responsive than the EZ did. Take Bob up on his offer! I will be in Lexington,Tn this weekend. If that is close to you let me know. If not I live in

Murfreesboro. I am very pleased with the Smarty. I just can't figure out why everyone runs around in the fuel saver setting! :-laf

I have run the Catcher, TST PM3, and F1 Mach 1. 6 injectors on my 2001 HO all independently of each other. The Catcher made a far bigger difference in performance than the either of the other 2 alone. Put them all together and WOW! This was done when I had the stock turbo.

I installed the TST first, then the Catcher. Turned off TST. I then installed the injectors, put stock ecm back on, turned off TST. I now have the Smarty and I run it on SW#7. Easy to drive with little smoke. I tried SW#9, but it was too easy to create a lot of smoke.

I'm kind in the deal. I'm trying to make a diecion. My truck is all stock mostly. I have alot of feedback from people with injectors or stacking. Which I will not do. My truck almost never see's or 2200 rpms.

I reports that I get from the field on stock trucks. Everyone is blown away by the product.

This is mostly guys that were running the comp w/o wire tap.

If you let me know where you live, I can see if there is a smarty owner in your general area.

Its simple to go from one truck to another.

That might be good for a stock HO, but a stock auto might not like the torque down low and soon you will be getting a custom transmission. Auto's still even with custom work need some RPMs to get line pressure up. I know Bill at DTT is aware of new issues regarding this. SNOKING

I ran a Catcher on my 2002 HO as the only mod for 8 months. It is the way you have always wished your truck would run. It added a lot more to the stock truck than the RV275 injectors added to the Catcher.

Thanks to all for the replies. Thanks to Bob Wagner for the offer, but I am still gathering the funds. Dieselnutz, my hometown is Murfreesboro, but I now live in Sharon, 48 miles north of Jackson. The real problem right now though is that I winter in Okeechobee Florida!

Guys,

please REMEMBER what CaTCHER stands for!

Clutch and Traction Challenger.

NO hype. That's the nature of the beast...

Hey WestTN

Having a get together in Clermont, Fl. on March 18 at the A&W, be around 5pm.

Check mapquest and see how far it is. I know several of us have the smarty on and love it.
