I have a few questions on the Smarty



Will the current version of the 05 common rail or the 06 version when it comes out allow you to enable the manual high idle?



Does it smoke on level 1 and 3 while driving in city stop and go traffic?



Is levels 1 and 3 safe for a stock transmission?



What MPG increase have people gotten with an otherwise stock truck?

Well I don't have a stock transmission, but the reduced/altered torque management could be hard on stock tc and transmission if abused on any level.



Every truck seems to act a little different no matter what mods, boxes, downloaders, etc. Mine smoke pretty bad on any level with Smarty. Even on 60hp + timing have to be careful not to make people mad.



I will say this, on 60hp + timing my mileage went up close to 2mpg. Kind of surprised me.



Member gitchesum, who has a thread on the Smarty now does not have smoke problem at all and is currently running with completely stock everything. I don't think he has any issues so far.

It will smoke for awhile. Once you get used to the power and the throttle response, no smoke. If I pop the clutch and then give it throttle watch out.
