6 Speed into a gas truck

I never had the TNT loaded on my truck before. I was already crazy happy with the standard Revo tunes but I didn't like the big change from 6 to 8 (I don't like timing).

Well last night I had a little time and noticed the MADS site had pretty recent software dates. So I loaded the lateset TNT.

Loaded 6 this morning.

What a beautiful program. Power and trans shifting is now so in sync. Engine runs noticeably smoother and the power is real consistent throughout the acceleration range.

The only problem now is keeping my foot out of it :-laf

BTW I lent it to a friend of mine a few weeks back. He has it on his Christmas list now.

What tunes are you guys using with your signature mods?

Been playing with another members Smarty on mine the last 2 nights. Only trouble being is the wet roads around here tonight!! :eek: People get weird looks on their faces when they see a 9000 lb truck coming at them sideways down the street !! :D Only negative thing I noticed was an occassional "pop" in the midrange sometimes... is that the rail being sucked dry or not enough timing. Going back out here in a bit before I have to give it back. :{ Thanks Chris !! ;)

If you are running the TNT software, our 03's have been reporting those symptoms(popping/jerking), some say run the even numbered switches and they will be minimized. I have had no such luck, so still running the 411 software.

Kicked the RP up to level 4 seems to have taken care of that for now . :) Time for a couple last minute "test drives", Mr. Smarty has to go home tonight!:{

I had some popping from mine this summer. Turned out to be compression gasses expanding up through the coolant in the overflow bottle.

I'm using 2-5 on the Revo depending...

I cant even run lvl 1 of TNT w/o draining the rail... next on the list one of the DIY stage one pump kits.

what size injectors are you running? :confused:

on my early '04 I ran the TNT R tune with Flux 1 injectors, FASS 150, and TST... with the Smarty on level 9 and the TST on power level 4, I could hold 20-22. 5k psi at WOT.

what settings are you running? high TM levels KILL rail pressure!!!
