Well tonight I had a couple more tricks to throw at the sled out in Gaston, Indiana.

I was running behind all day as usual and got up to the pull and had not even so much as plugged the SMARTY in.

Well, I did, then I loaded in #9.

I noticed right away it had very aggressive low end fueling. I was just wondering what it would do up top.

I signed up for the ProStreet Diesel 8500lb class and then..... (I'll let you guys decided how it did) :-laf

I was just gonna ask you the same question... . ? Your Cummins was spitting sparks.....

That was awesome... . hope nothing is wrong, though... Never saw that happen before... :--)

Justin, you finally got smart! I would have loved to see the camera on the other side of the truck though! You can really tell with the low end fueling, especially when you came to a stop and your turbo was chuffing while still on the pedal! Have fun with the smarty! I know I have!

So any impressions on the RPM on this run? I think SMARTY should fuel tilll 3500 still pretty strong...

BTW - KevinO just got one last night - level 6 was awesome, level 9 was stupid -- like 12v w/ 0 plate

looks like fun - cool video ... . but man you gotta either have big extra bucks or just no life to put all that into a new truck !!

:)

That's what I keep trying to figure out!?

married, kid, house, tow rig, 04. 5 puller?!?!

J/K Justin :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf

Guys thanks for the kind words..... THANKS MARCO!! (And BOB!) :D

To answer the questions:

As it has already been seen said... yeah those are sparks(just part of the deal). You got to slip it to light it up correctly and have a smooth launch.

Julius,

The TST was just there for moral support and gauging things. The TS was turned on to about 20% if that. Basically just for some rail fooling.

Mac, Yeah I wish I had a closer camera angle without the screaming (I have got onto them about the screaming but the alcohol takes over at some point and the camera people cant be reasoned with :-laf )

Tom,

The rpm's are still ending at the same point in the 35-37 area but there could be more fuel up to that point but I dont know for sure since I am too busy driving on the track then to watch the gauges.

I only watch the rpm's when I ramp it up on the line.

thealaskan,

Yeah it does take a whole bunch of dedication to have a decent running pulling truck...

The truck was down all week and I was literally wrenching on it right before I had to leave, and then hopped in it and drove up to the pull :) :D

Mark(smoke),

Please stop PM'ing me about autographs and t shirts... . I'll have them shipped out to you soon enough :-laf :D

Wow - and thats with no TST! geez, I cant wait till you hook with the tst on like 5x5...

I can say one thing the throttle on #6 and especially on #8 is crazy sensitive. For daily driving i think i will use a lower setting and turn the TST up when needed. I tried #6 smarty with 4/1 TST and level 1 EZ last night for a little fun with a dakota r/t leaving the car cruise spot last night. I think he may have turned his head lights off or it may have been the low level cloud from the stacks that made him dissapear :-laf
