I currently have the Edge juice with attitude cts2, and I have been reading up on the Smarty s-06. I am considering running my Edge on stock and just using it for guages, what I would like to know is if I use the Smarty for power will the edge protection parameters still work ie... boost, cold engine, egts? Also what power setting do you reccomend for every day driving on the Smarty?

I run my Smarty on Revo SW7 most of the time and Revo SW1 when towing. In the past people would stack the two units, but if the Edge has any software that is download to the ECM it wouldn’t work with the Smarty.

I used an Edge for monitoring while running a smarty till the edge died. The only time it would ever reach any limit was in the sand dunes blasting up a hill climb. At that time hi egts were of no concern for the time involved. If you have enough clutch running #3 works well on a dd without too much smoke when driven correctly.Level 5 will take a bit more care to keep intersections smoke free,Level 7 will get you turned in to the smoke police

The weight, wind profile and terrain will change what level you can safely tow .Level 1 will be safe for all conditions.

I installed the Smarty s-06 pod on sw5 default timing and stock rail pressure, left the waste gate stock. It is a little smokey which I do not want, I know each truck is different. The instructions that come with this are very vague. I contacted Brian with Smarty and he reccomended sw5 with timing on 2 which is the default timing, but my instructions say thay 2 is for aftermarket injectors which I don't have. Is this safe to run on. Any info someone may have would be appreciated. I don't want a smokey tune.

Timing 2 is the most timing advance, with stock injectors and turn off the WG it should be good. A lot depends on location and driving habits but SW5 can be used pretty effectively. If nothing else back the POD down until it matches your throttle usage and driving style but doesn't interfere with power application. I ran SW5 or 7 a lot with an auto but watched the low\no boost throttle until the turbo spooled and it worked well. With a manual you can get and hold more rpms quicker to reduce smoke.
