Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smarty/SuperChips question....

OK... I got the truck from TX it already has the Super Chips loaded into it. Got a hold of the previous owner and ORIGINALLY he wanted $300 for the hand held so I said no thanks. Starting looking for a Smarty to clear it off of my truck... Tuesday he calls and says he will come off of it a little cheaper if I buy the rebuilt drive shaft he has for the truck (which I need). Then Thursday my loaner SMARTY shows up and now here is my question: If I use the Smarty right now will it for ever clear out the S/C from the truck, and make the hand held now worthless since the Super Chip is VIN locked to my truck at this time???

Yes it will make the superchips worthless. When You put A truck back to stock with the smarty it loads the latest factory software, it does not store what came off the truck.
