Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smarty SW-0, I found a 2nd use!

The snow is starting to fly again and SW-0 helps control spin outs greatly with my 2wd pickup. I tried leaving it on SW-9 but that was almost impossible to drive in any gear including 6th. It would spin out even down around 1200rpm in OD!



Gotta love it when you use your performance tuner as a de-tuner

I thought that might be the case. Towing a loaded truck and 10K lb travel trailer through west Texas one winter. . we encountered a bad ice storm. Couldn't keep the Cummins from spinning out. Real bad situation and we barely got into a truck stop before conditions worsened.

I was thinking at the time it would be nice to have a switch to de-tune the engine to about 100 hp. Marco beat me to it!
