So i'm trying to figure out which box i want to get the most poop out my truck. I'll be getting a new transmission soon and can't wait to figure out new ways to break it:rolleyes:

I hear a lot of good things about the smarty/TST combo and some so-so things about the smarty/Comp combo... Has anyone dynod these combo? How much more can you get by stacking the smarty on top of one of the boxes?



If you just use the smarty alone how much power are they putting out?



What has been the best combo so far on paper? (dyno sheets, time slips,... etc)

This is how I would explain the Smarty. It gives around the same power as Superchips, but it gives you hard fueling in low Rpm instead of high rpm. It deletes torque management & makes the truck more fun to drive. The stock CTD lacks power off the line until the turbo comes in..... Smarty makes it feel smooth right off idle. This is why Smarty works so well stacked with Edge or Tst... . they are racing boxes which give the power after the turbo spools. [high rpm] Smarty takes care of low rpm..... tst or edge takes it from there.
 
Let's not forget about the Smarty/Bluechip stack. The Bluechip FMS or Redline boxes are great also. I have the Smarty/Bluechip FMS combo now. But with the 53 block it is really too much. I will possibly be puting it back closer to stock soon if somebody wants to make A reasonable offer and I would take A Superchips as A small trade just so I could calibrate My own speedometer.
 
I heard the smarty did something other than just timing or fuel, i didn't know if it was Torque converter control or the Torque Management. So is there a dyno chart showing how the power changes with no Torque management?
 
the vp44 smarty changes the fueling and timing.

Ok, maybe I need to get off my butt and make some dyno runs and load the graphs on this website, showing what every level does and each combo. I can tell you though that the I can not tell much difference between the smarty/tst or the smarty/comp combos. I can tell you that a smarty/juice combo does "feel" a little better. I don't have dyno numbers for either tst or juice combos here on paper but can have them in the near future. But the comp layed down a 355 HP with smarty on #9 and comp on 5/5, with stock inj and turbo. We also ran a pass with just comp and no smarty we got 327HP. So we didn't gain much in peak power, HOWEVER, the graph shows a faster peak with a longer power band, meaning instead of a 400-500rpm range of peak power, the smarty gave us almost 800 rpms of peak power. I will try to get back on the dyno and run passes with all 3 combos and post the results as soon as I get a chance.
 
If I were to do it all over again the smarty would have been my first fueling add on instead of the EZ. More adjustability. The smarty is the most seat of the pants power Ive added to date. Ive been towing fairly heavy the last couple of days and I cant belive how much less shifting I have to do because the torque is avalible in such a low rpm. Even with jammer3 injectors and an EZ I had a dead spot between 60 and 70mph. It was too fast to shift down to 4th and took forever to get up to 70 when the power would turn on. Traffic was constantly putting me in my flat spot which is pretty frustrating. With the smarty the flat spot is gone.
