Smarty vrses Bully Dog DL 305/555

I have the bully dog dl 130hp not triple dog on my 03 555tq. . I was wondering how does this thing compare to the smarty 130hp setting???? I will be stacking this with my tst... . Just wondering if I should upgrade to the big bad smarty I hear so much about... ... Thanks TDR

smarty makes more power every where except on top, bully dog makes a little more on top. at least o my 04 it does.

even more than just the power difference is the reliabilty of the smarty. It has been my experience with bully dog d/lers on 3rd gen stuff, that they don't always work the way they are supposed to, and quite often when you go to UNload the bullydog and go back to the 'stock' program it d/l a generic version that doesn't always agree with your truck. Where as the smarty doesn't have a generic and has shown no issues with anyones trucks that I have ever been made aware of.

Get the SMARTY. I have the TST R-49 and SMARTY stacked on my 305/555 motor and love it!!! TST on 3/1 SMARTY on EVEN #'s and it rocks! YOu get to much timing rattle with the odd #'s on the SMARTY.

BEWARE OF BULLYDOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I currently have three trucks with crashed ecms from Bullydog dl's. They have absolutely nobody that can help fix it either. Everybody that I have talked to there knows 100% nothing about a diesel truck. Every single customer I have has went to the smarty or is going to soon. They all love it. Besides the three that I gotta fix first from Bullydog crap.

I tested them back to back, using lmills Smarty, on the same dyno, same day, back in early Oct. On the top end, with no other boxes in play, the Smarty made about 5 hp less than the power pup, both turned all the way up. That being said, I just got that same Smarty from Lloyd, since he got a new one. It drives like a different truck. So far, I have only used the 30 hp setting. My turbo now spools like the pp did on the extreme mode, which is very quick. My PP never caused me any issues.
