I work for the post office, and the only reason they wouldn't have left it was if it need to be signed for (ex: insured, certified or registered) When you purchased it, if you didn't have anyone of these items added on to the shipping, they should have left it on your door step. Didn't know if you wanted an explanation, but there it is for ya.

Ah and I figured the neighbors dog scarred him off. :)

I did start work late today so I could picked the smarty myself. Can't trust them postal workers. First thoughts are woow. 3500 rides kind of hard to begin with but now with the pedal being so touchy I leep down the road now. Uploaded 6 with timing. Truck shifts to quickly so I've been manually shifting. It does bark the tires when it does the quick1-2 auto. Noticed also in overdrive it doesn't like to be smashed. Have to turn off overdrive and then smash it.

Marco is the man.

Bob thanks fro the 1'sG! Was this the prize. Wait tell my wife finds out I paid over $600 for a candy bar.

My Smarty is sitting at the post office and I can't get to it tell Monday. Ahh

No one was home Saturday and they won't leave it on the door step.

I got home today and had the little slip in the mailbox, package from Bob :{ . I guess I will just have to be late to work in the morning. I will be at the post office waiting for the door to open in the morning. Oo.

Thanks Bob, talked to him Friday evening, shipped Saturday and at my door on Monday. ;) Can't beat that.

I think I will have to take a long lunch period today. I have been useless at work this morning just waiting for lunch break. I picked up the Smarty at the post office. Be back after lunch.

Well I just loaded my Smarty for the first time at lunch. It did take about 5 miutes to load, still half the time of the BDDL. Did not have much time. Turned TST to 0/0 and loaded SW #6(130hp No Timing).

HOLY CR@P, pretty touchy throttle at low end, some people might not like it, but it is fine with me. CRUDE, very crude oil that is, smokes as much as any modded 12v I have ever seen. Just a few aggressive accelerations, definite power. Smoke does not really clean up very well, leaves a light grey hase at full throttle.

Turned TST (w/late twins) to 3/0, still a lot of smoke. Way too much for daily driving. Well I had to get back to work so I will do some testing different programs and settings this evening.

I am still a happy camper, just means I need to find more air. May have a boost leak somewhere I can't hear. I can still push 45psi pretty easy, so can't be leaking much.

The programs can we tweaked very easily. want less fuel? you got it :-laf

I need to find out if I have some other issue with cp3,injectors or boost before I want less fuel :D .

Poor II SPS66 needs to light a little quicker I guess. Maybe need early twins program on TST or just twins period.

My SPS66 was fast before but with the smarty its like a rocket! Standard TST and all stock mechanical parts (CP3, Injectors and such)? I was concidering a new truck but I figured Id wait for the smarty to have the final say, Im keeping it now! My truck drives like a supercharged big block HEMI!

mattymac

I did not say it was not fast :D , I just said it smoked a little too much for city driving  . I suspect I can open the wastegate(55psi) a little quicker now with the proper settings combo. But the poor starters at the track better get some masks for the next time I am there :-laf .

I do need to ugrade my TST to add timing control options, then I will have a lot more flexibility in stacking combos.

The way you explained it your saying your needing more fuel to spool up quicker, I think the twins programming will give you alot more smoke for the amount of spool youll gain.

BTW, I have been running the timing settings with my standard TST and I love it! (I dont know if you have tried the odd settings with your TST on) No ill side effects at all, there is barely any more timing rattle and it runs better as well!

When I was running the SPS66 and then the SPS62 and TST with injectors, I had a really annoying timing rattle that I even considered going to smaller injectors. As soon as I installed the twins and modded CP3 all the rattling went away. I think the ECM does some weird timing stuff when it sees low boost off idle like you'd get with a big single. Just my observations FWIW...

this smarty system sounds like a dream. But do you need the powermax cr to get the smarty. The smarty is a lot cheaper which is what i like for right now. I'm poor. But how does the smarty do just by itself Without any other mods other than a straight pipe and an air filter? Just curious

If you want alot of topend power. I like having stacked chips with the Smarty, more topend and adjustabilty on the fly. Especially if your truck isnt modded to accept more power (like a stock transmission) The smarty fuels so hard on the bottom you cant utilize alot of HP and TQ gains from the smarty, you can use it but it will take its toll on a truck that isnt set up for it.

Its not called CaTcher for no good reason....

I would say that it would not be all that good... Thats 'cuz its going to cost you real soon to upgrade your stock clutch! :D Trust me, I know. :{ I have a new clutch going in tomorrow afternoon...

Looking ahead to winter time... . :( One thing I would like to see changed in the software is a little bit softer peddle responce on some of the lower (1 - 3 maybe) numbered programs. I do think its going to be a real bazturd to drive the truck in the winter ice and snow with such a quick/touchy responce. . I don't mean I want to knock down the HP for a software, but instead to roll the torque on a little slower in relation to the start of the peddle movement. After maybe an easy first 3/4 inch of travel, ramp it up from there to the 1-1/2 inch position so at that point its running like it does now at that peddle position. .

Dunno if that would be do'able but I am sure it would make slick weather driving a lot less stressful than it would be with the program the way it is now. ! I know some people would say, just load stock or 1/2 power, but that would suck to have to do that for a day or two and then have to go back to the 'fun' settings!

Just my $. 02.

Bob or Marco,

What gives with the quick 1-2 and slip into 3rd in 2. 3 secounds. Mt DTT hard shifts are gone with the Smarty SW#5? I have to manual shift now. Coming home last night with 7,000 lb trailer truck felt like it never shifted like a cvt clutch. Just like what nissan is claming on what ever model that is (girl putting on lip stick).

Throttle respones is awsome, I would not change that.

Sw#6 has a issue with my ecm. If you apply some brake and put the power up against the converter it pulsats so bad that you have to put trannie in N to get it to stop. Driving down the street it does the same. Drivind along at 40 truck will take off by it's self and only way to stop the surge in the pedal is to put into N or apply alot of brake but then it comes right back. Kind of like some one has set the crusie control around 80 and you can't turn it off.

Not complaining. Just some issue's I personally have had happen on my truck.

Can't wait to see what Marco will make or trucks do next.

Arnie

I agree with you Arnie. What I'd be looking for is available power when you really step into it, not an overdone throttle response that stresses every component when it comes in before the slack can even be taken out of the drivetrain. That's what I like about the propane injection set-up I have on my big truck. Doesn't even start to flow the propane until the boost is over 25 lbs. By that time, everything is hooked up real good and the extra power just goes straight to the ground. Feels like an afterburner just kicked in. (It's also worked for over 500,000 miles without any drivetrain failures. )

would it be better for me to get the powermax cr first then a new transmission then the smarty or do the smarty, new transmission, powermax cr route? Just trying to plan ahead so i know exactly what i want. thanks

Do the transmission first, then you don't have to worry. I did.
