Now how does the smarty work? Do you just upload all the codes into the ECM at once? Or do you have to upload the different power levels when you need them or is a change on the fly type of thing? Where you would be driving down the road and can change the power settings.

You download the program of choice. Takes about 5 minutes or a little less. Only one program at a time. Can't change anything on the fly. You are basically downloading a different ecm program with each power level. This is power at the ECM level, not at the sensor/"fool the ecm into changing things" level (change on the fly). The programs do more than just change the fueling. They change the fuel, boost, timing, etc. maps dynamically. Also, it changes torque management.

You select the software Level of power/timing that you want and load that SW # into you ECM. This loads that particular code level into the ECM. There is no adjust on the fly. If you want to change power/timing levels you load another SW # into the ECM. You can load different Smarty code versions that have different Torque Mangement base or that are oriented to aftermarket turbo(s) or aftermarket injectors or both. The different Smarty code versions can be downloaded from their web site for free to a computer and then loaded into the Smarty itself with a USB cable.

Seems I type tooo slooow.
