Steve,

Any ideas as to why all of the buttons surrounding the text box don't work in Firefox now? I've never had any problems before. I'm having a hard time conveying my emotions without the ever-reliable smilies!

Did they ever work for you guys? If so when did they stop working?

Yes, they have always worked before, but not now. Also a FF user. First tiime I noticed was a few minutes ago responding to a post regarding drills.

Do a refresh and try it now and let me know what happens please. I removed the code for the Code Amber alert to see if that is affecting it. It's javascript as well and is the only recent change I can think of that could do it.

The amber alert banner wasn't showing most of the day yesterday because there was no active alert. It will only show up when there is. Where you on the site the day before? There was an active alert then.

I was on the day before yesterday but didnt try using smilies. I noticed it yesterday because I was needing my emoticons in the political forums. When I clicked on a smiley my page would just click up to the top.

I was on that day (Wednesday?) when there was all the discussion of the Amber Alerts but never saw them until I used IE. Tried FF again and didn't see it.

I believe I said that above didn't I? Yes it was the amber alert code that caused the problem and is why I removed it from all of the pages except for the forum home page and the front page.

Well excuse me, Steve. I guess I should start reading more closely.

Mine does the same thing ... . I have to run adaware SE and it kills a few Ad wares and it works again ... happened a few times this year ... same exact thing your saying
