I have been having some smoke at idle when cold,, and sometimes when hot if i let it idle for too long. .

I have a DD fuel plate and AFC kit,,boost elbow,,. .

Note i do run different fuels at times,,lots of biodiesel,,which was never an issue,,

The stock injectors have about 450,000 kms on them,,might it be time to changes them,,,like i said,,this truck has had lots of weird brewed fuels in it,,

The filter plugged completely yesterday,,made it home,,,then changed the filter and broke the fuel drain /water in fuel sensor in the filter,,so i took the piece of crap plastic valve to my machinist who builds a lot of racebike parts for me,,and he made me a beautiful aluminum fitting with a small valve to drain fuel from the filter sometimes,,no more water in fuel sensor,,,than again i never sen it light up much. .

Still have to slow cranking issue as well. .

Anyone have any idea on my smoke issues

Thanks

I had that problem once, turned out to be a stuck injector on one cylinder! Darned thing ran nicely, but one cylinder was obviously running quite rich. It is a quick and simple job to pull the injectors, have them tested/rebuilt and reinstall.

Not real good at conversions, but looks like you are about 275k+ in mileage. Probably an injector issue. Go with the DDPII's. Really like mine.
