Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smoke in cab of truck

On my way over to my mother and father -n- laws ( if that wasn't bad enough) The truck started running funny and doing funny things but then I smelt something funny at the same time from inside the truck :{ I was looking all around and then I seen the smoke from under the dash :--) I pulled the truck over and to my shock it was coming from the TST Power Max 3 Box I unhooked all the wiring from the motor and box. I started the motor and it ran fine. I pulled it home and performed checks on the grounds and power feeds with no concerned found I do have a blown 5 amp fuse in the harness from the TST box . I have no open wires or shorts to ground. The EDGE EZ is still hooked up and seemed fine. I wonder if TST is going to help me out or am I going to have to buy a new box now?

Could be TST wiring harness by emergency brake

A friend of mine had similar happen to him: The emergency brake was rubbing up against the harness and fried the TST.

No all wires look fine and I can not see any rubbing going on. I wonder what the smoke is going to cost me or if they will warranty this thing.
