Smoke on 4.5?

Friend has just got one and I noticed when he got on it a little a puff of black smoke. He says he is stock? What do you think, I suspect he has a box. Doc

mine doesnt smoke. Make him pop his hood!

My friend's dead stock 2003 HO will puff when tromped on. My '02 HO will to a lesser extent.

Mine is stock and at night I can see a puff in my rear view mirrors when towing the trailer. Kinda cool... Even on my 01 I could see a small puff when getting on it, but I think it's a little more pronounced with this one.

I think they are more likely to smoke if the engine is cold.

I have a 04. 5 600 and it blows a little black smoke too. more noticable at night in headlights

I think mine is pumping raw fuel out the pipe, or aleast thats what my fuel gauge shows.
