I've noticed that I have smoke rings poofing out of the tail pipe. I'm running the stock downpipe and I put a 4" right after the hanger for the trans all the way out behind the wheels. It seems like it does it mostly under load, and then when the RPMs increase, it smooths out into a stream of smoke. Any ideas? THanks

Mine doese the same thing with the straight pipe, I think it just builds up the smoke differently than if we had a muffler. As with any air flow system, the shape of the system is going to change the geometry of the air passing through it or around it. This is why car manufacturers do extensive testing on the aerodynamics of a vehicle to maxmize flow. In other words, I would not worry about it. I think smoke rings are cool. :D :D

We have a 90 with a muffler that looks like a glasspack that blows smoke rings. I think it looks pretty cool. I have noticed that it is most noticeable when the motor is pulling hard.
