lately i have been PM'ing andy/SmokinRam alot about some current and upcoming projects on my '01 and was concerned that i might be bothering him too much. here was his answer:

OK...I guess I'll have to voice my opinion (as usual)

Both Andy and Doug are super guys. They know what is most important... customer service and follow up after the sale. I really don't care if some other guy sells his exhaust or injectors a little bit cheaper than Doug and Andy... WHO CARES!! What is most important to me is honesty and integrity. These guys have gobs of it.



Heck... I am at their shop almost every month and it is a 250 mile drive for me...

I'll second everybody.



ADT is top notch. They got everything I needed together for just what I needed. All lines, extra filters and pumps from the tank to the return line on the VP-44. Extra temp. and preesure sensors, the works.

Thank you all for the kind words. But honestly, Doug and I do not do anything out of the ordinary. We just do our best to treat our customers like WE like to be treated.



I have to tell Yah...



I've been into Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Snowmobile Racing and just about all other types of Go-Fast hobbies out there and this Diesel-Truck clan is by far the best group of people I have ever met...



I have never met so many people who would go entirely out of their way to help others with no reward what so ever...



I do have to say, probably one of the most rewarding feelings I have ever had in this business was seeing the look on Ted Kobi's face after his truck dynoed 505. 7Hp on #2 Diesel Only at the MDTDR Kaufmans Motorsports Dyno Day this past summer...

Reminded me of Ralphie's(The Christmas Story Movie) face when he saw the Red Ryder BB Gun that Santa Claus brought him for Christmas. :-laf



And what I really didn't expect was to acquire so many new friends. This business has a way of turning a vendor/customer relationship into a friendship...



While we are talking about it, I have to tell you a story... My Father is a self employed mechanic and in his spare time builds Street Rods and other things, so since about the age of 3, I have spent every moment of spare time at his garage learning about cars. Doug and I currently are leasing a portion of his garage to do our shop work for ADT. Throughout the years I saw how many people would just hang out at the garage and over the years became great friends with my Dad. Well, it seems that the next generation is invading the garage and on weekends, the garage is full of our customers, friends, and just guys hanging out just to BS. My uncle Ron, my Dads brother, who is one of the original hang-out guys at the garage said to me the other day, "Sniff Sniff... Smell That??? This garage used to smell like gasoline, and now it smells like Diesel Fuel. Amazing how things change so much, yet remain so much the same. "...



I thought that was really great to hear him say that...
