After many years on this forum carefully avoiding any additives other than the tried and true Power Service line of additives I have a confession to make......

At the end of the season last year I was getting a bit longer crank times than I liked and figured the ugly injector replacement scenario might be coming for me.....

Got the truck out of storage two weeks ago, it has not been serviced yet. I took it to work for two days for a shake down run to see what might have fixed itself over the winter and what might not ....;)

Noticed a slight jerking sensation at about 2000 rpms with the cruise on. Always has done this on a long downhill grade but now it was doing so while under power....it still had last Fall's winter fuel in it ..

On the 2nd day of running it to work I spied a bottle of Snake Oil in the office that a rep had left for me to try when I got a chance. I typically don't field test on my truck but I had a weak moment...

Dumped it in about double strength ( If you are gonna' get crazy then get REAL crazy) and ran it home. Fueled up before taking it home.

Nothing to see here....until this morning..

The truck started quicker than it has in a long, long time. Stumble is gone......maybe the crap simply chewed a tunnel through the fuel filter, maybe it knocked some junk loose in the fuel system, I don't really know yet. I do know that in the case of today it started and ran better...

So this is the stuff I used....still don't know for sure if it helped, but beginning to think that it might have...

Flame away, I'm suited up......besides, I didn't have to tell you....:p:p

Mike.

P.S. He left me a trial size hand cleaner and that stuff rocks.....looks just like the Snap-On hand cleaner I buy but a bit less gritty. Works great....

Mike, sounds too good to be true! But it might be. Pull the filter sometime soon and see what is in the filter?

For sure. I will be servicing it before long.

Made three round trips to Bangor (about 370 miles) to blow the crud out, now it will sit until I service it.

Mike, do you have B20 up there? Bio is reported to be one heck of a system cleaner. I use it while I'm in Oregon because it is about 40 cents a gallon less than the B3-5 that is in the #2 pumps.

Interesting. The surging, jerking on coasting while cruising is a tuning issue. It is common in stock tunes and some of my tunes have make it much worse and current tunes nearly gone. I believe it is in the "rough" changes in the RP and maybe duration tables that cause this and why a "smoothed" custom tune helps or resolves. In your case I would speculate that dirty injectors worsened the issue and the "snake oil" cleaned things up a bit and smoothed the injector flow. I have used Sea Foam in a gasser with similar results.
