Sniff Test????

Will our trucks pass a DOT/DEQ emissions test with no resonator or muffler? I use my truck for commercial purposes so I can not afford a ticket if caught. But I do miss the mighty cummins sound!!!!

It will not pass the noise test but otherwise yes.

Noise Test?

How is a noise test performed and what kind of equipment is needed? Is it something that can be performed on the side of the road if you are pulled over and an inspection is performed?

by the strictest interpertation... . the owners manual says it's a federal offense to remove any device from the truck that will change the emissions or noise characteristics of the truck...

So putting in the BHAF, or removing the Turbo ring, or removing the muffler makes you a felon.

Well I guess you could consider me guilty then..... Turbo ring gone, BHAF installed..... havent messed with exhaust yet.....
