... and I agree, for a couple of reasons.

1) Bali Indonesia bombing, plus three bombings in the Philipines (plus a grenade set-off in the capital), plus the DC sniper attachs, all in the last three weeks??????

2) The sniper(s) are hitting "Americans". In other words, men, woman, children, blacks, whites... If you look at what the Isreali military does in Palestine after Isreal gets bombed, they do the same thing. They shoot civilians, woman, children, etc...

These sniper shootings are way too similar to what the Isreali military is doing in Palestine.

For these reasons, I have to agree with my wife. The sniper(s) is an extremist muslim with Palestinian sympathies.

I am tending to think the same. My wife has thought it true since the beginning. He or she is a terrorist by definition. I also think that our law enforcment has not a clue how to apprehend this turkey.

I agree that this might be a terrorist, also saw on TV last evening that there were two more cases in in nearby area in September that could be linked. I have not however seen the news reports of Israli military targeting civilians. Yes, they kill civilians but as a result of their being in vicinity of military targets, they haven't just gone over and targeted women and children I don't believe. The Palestinians on the other hand have only targeted civilians so I guess turn about would be fair play, seems that it is hard to get some folks attention like when Kadafi was jacking around, the missle in his tent made him see the light. bg

I agree- but the media is downplaying it. Must be that they can get some gun control mileage if it was an american. If you look at it. First he is not that good a shot, all his victims were standing still. He left a shell casing - so he is not a real professional military type. So that eliminated a US military trained sniper that "went around the bend" The white van is either an error or a diversion- so two people may be involved. If this was someone that was a serial killer he would have picked on one type of victim. He is shooting people doing the most mundane things. He is leaving clues, not many so it is still possible he is a crazy american. More likely when he is caught after a certain round number of killings ( let himself be caught) we will know it is a terrorist and he will publickly state that there are more out there waiting to be activated. He of course has to live through capture to get that information out. I am sure that is not the plan of the CIA, FBI, BATF, Police. He will most likely be shot to death in a gun battle weather he wants to die for allah or not- Be real hard to claim ties to terrorists when you are dead.

In as much as I would like to agree with you guys that the sniper is a mid-eastern terrorist ... this guy most likely is just a lunitic white guy. Probably a delivery guy since he knows the area real good and slips away quickly. He probably got screwed by the gov't over something stupid (back taxes and IRS, turned down for a gov't job, fined for something), or he receiently got layed off or fired from a job.



Doesn't have to be two guys, just roll down your passenger window, wrap the end of the muzzle with a towel to suppress the noise a little, bang!!!, then put the rifle down on the floor, roll up the window and drive off non-chalantly.

IMO if it was a terrorist he would be moving around more spreading the panic to other areas and further disrupting law enforcement. There would also probably be shooters all over the country at once if it was a mid-eastern plot. I think it's a crazy white guy who has to plan his shooting schedule around his job, that's why he doesn't travel far.

Well, now there's a shell casing they found in the back of a rental box truck. Could be nothing, who knows, we'll have to wait and see. But speaking about Al Qaida being active right now, I just heard a bomb went off in Moscow, in front of a McDonald's. Moscow police say could be local bad guys... others say Al Qaida. we'll see.

I agree with you too Peter (Campbell) on your point about the media jumping all over this, like "fingerprinting" bullets would help solve this. Uhmmm, I kind of think the bad guys would just replace the barrell, or bore it, or scratch it, or do whatever to change the "fingerprint". That's a no-brainer. But there's our wonderful media (I'm being sarcastic here) trying to go antigun.
