Anyone know what happened to Blkdawdg?

Anyone out there suggest some snow chains? I've looked at the JC Whitney site, but not sure what type to get. For duallies, do ya have to get six of 'em or will four do the job? Planning a trip to Cheyenne and possibly Sioux Falls in December, and I want to be prepared. Thanks

Is your truck a 4x4 or 2 wheel drive? I would think that one chain on the outside dually would be plenty unless your going mud bogging. I dont know where to get them as I never have needed chains.

I've lived in snow country for 35 years and have only had to chain up once. It was in California!!, CHP wouldn't let anyone pass without them, snow on the road was like a regular old winter day in the north. I just bought the chains from a guy in chain up area, he installed them and his buddy on the other side of the pass bought them back and took them off for $20. Worth it in my book. You will only need one pair of chains for your dually unless you plan on going off the maintained road. On the maintained road you will only need them if the patrol tells you to put them on.
