Hey guys....

I need to add to the truck, more or less for a change. I get high EGT's so I figured I would add a Snow system.

After speaking with the people at snow, it looks like a MPG Max system best fits my needs.

My question is, do I need to have the head studded? Will I blow the gasket if I dont?

Thanks in advance!

I've been reading about these systems and what I don't understand is how they vary the flow... they either have to start/stop the pump in a duty cycle circuit.... 50 % Dwell is on 50% etc... or they have to very the speed of the pump to change the pressure....

In either case they really aren't monitoring the output volume or pressure... so you set the start point... say 8 PSI(boost) and you set max flow, say 30 PSI... and on the Snow you set the low EGT, say 700*F with max flow at 1300*F... to allow the user to vary the max flow position... either in #'s of boost or High EGT you have to have some way to vary the pressure.... since you can't change to size of the nozzle to change flow, the only way to get a variety of flow conditions is to either start/stop the pump or change the speed of the pump...

Can someone share how they work..... and/or if you have one mounted on your truck share your experience....

I was a Snow fan since I had it my my 02' for years. I put their latest and greatest MPG Max kit on my 2009 and two years later it malfunctioned and flooded cylinder 6 while the truck was parked. I ended up with a $4300 bent rod repair and over a grand in a kit plus labor that I would not give to my worst enemy.

To make matters worse the folks at Snow would not even talk to me on the issue and what could have gone wrong or needs to be fixed. Jake Snow told me Matt snow would contact me about the issue but that was four months ago.

You would think they would want the system back to see why it failed to help protect others but that is clearly not the case.
