My '03 QC came with tow hooks and the snow plow prep package:confused:

No offense meant but a dually with a Cummins isn't the best configuration for a plow truck. You should closely watch the wieght on the front end. You can easily exceed the tires ratings with a plow big enough to work well on a dually ie; 8. 5-9' wide plow, the V-plows are especially heavy.

no kidding, bought my truck used with a 8. 5' plow on it (quad cab, 4x4, long bed) and the u-joints, one ball joint and steering box are all shot. the guy moved a bit of snow from what it looks like. I still want to get the firmer springs up front for snow season. driving around with that on makes the front end sag.

Smokin, I don't know about 04. 5, but for the 05 the snow plow prep was option code AHD. IIRC there is a sticker in the glove box that lists build codes. Look for AHD somewhere on the sticker. I don't know what the option included on the CTD equipped trucks besides different front springs and a tcase skid plate.

About the only visual difference with the plow prep is my truck sits more or less level when empty, while (judging from all the front leveling lift kit posts) I assume a non plow prep equipped truck sits about 2" lower in the front than the rear.
