snow Plow prep

does the snow plow prep include anything other than a skid plate? according to the dodge site, thats all. Is this the same skid plate thaat is in the protection group?

Front Skid is all it seems to be. And no, it's not the same skid as part of the protection group. Protection group is tow hooks and transfer case skid, after the 1st of the year, they are suppose to add a gas tank skid also.

im pretty sure mine has a gas tank skidplate or some doo dad like that

snow prep group includes 750amp batteries vs 700 heavier front springs and the skid plate, not shure if the plate is diff than the protection group



i live in san diego would never put a plow on but do have a lance camper. the springs were signifigantly bigger and the batteries are a major bonus for those couple hundred dollars

Also adds 160 amp alternator, instead of the 136 amp

According to my dealer the 3500srw already includes everything except the skid plate. And if you get the Protection group you get the skid plate.

That's just it. If you get a diesel Ram, it already includes everything in the Snow Plow Group except for the front skid plate.





Also, I am 100% sure that the protection group does not include the gas tank skid. Originally it was to be part of it, but they deleted it and isn't suppose to be available till Jan '04. The people that paid the $135 for the protection group with the tank skid are suppose to get some kind of refund. Atleast that was what I heard last.
