Supposed to be a big meet in Nevada... WHEN?

So Cal Rattlin' Rams- March 22 Dyno Day

:D :D

Well!!! We had a pretty awesome turnout  . At the high point I think we had 30 trucks. Took care of some installs and educated everyone (myself included!).

MANY MANY THANKS to Pablo Madrid, his friend Chris, Bob Goodwin and Fred Danner for the expert help and time in making everything possible today. Without you guys we wouldn't know where to even put a wrench! ;)

Additional thanks to South Coast Photographic (AKA My Boss) for letting us take over the entire block.

Thanks to everyone else for just showing up and showing support. It was nice to see several new faces today and to finally put a face with an email address!!

Here's Pablo getting the injectors installed on my 01'

The use of the Edge Box

Thanks Greg for the use of the box! Boy what a difference!

I was reading in the last TDR Register and came across two articles, one on page 113 called "Gotcha" and the other was about a guy that had a black box and damaged his torque converter.

As far as the Gotcha article I'm not so sure I'm worried about any warranty. But I am wondering if there is a converter that can handle this little bit of extra grunt from the box?

Thanks again

Steve

Steve,

I think the guy who damaged his TC was using a "major" fueling box. The EZ that we used yesterday was made for a stock TC/clutch. I ran around with one for a year before I ever even thought about building my 2001.

Thanks Kev.

Had a great time.

Fred thanks for all your help with the link. Truck feels and drives much better.

Bob thanks for the lift pump install. You make everything look so easy.

See you guys in March.

You guys have been asking me about the injectors.....

Alll I can say is :D :D :D . . Great combo, EZ and 275's.

Based on my experience, the stock transmission isn't good for stock power as it is. Adding power will send it to an earlier grave. The 275/EZ combo would be a good reason to call DTT ;) .

Kev

Please don't tell me that you are slipping the clutch now. I wanted to put 275's in mine before the summer, but maybe it will have to wait?

Tom- I was occasionally slipping the clutch with just the EZ, I think the clutch had seen better days (41K Miles). With the 275's on top of that, I can slip it pretty easily if I want to. I haven't towed ywt with it so I imagine it will be worse towing. The stock clutch is good for one or the other, but Bob was right- not both:rolleyes: .
