SO -> HO upgrade

The popularity of the Bully Dog Power Pup (software only) upgrade raises the question - has anyone successfully flashed an '03 SO (250HP) or '03 SO CA (235HP) to the '03 HO (305HP) bits? As near as I can tell, there are no performance related diferences between these three '03 models other than software and I suspect many '03 SO owners (like me) would give it a go. Heck, it may even be an interesting offer from one of the "downloader" companies - hint

I doubt there would be any, boxes are just too simple. Flashing like you mention requires DC proprietary software and hardware to get the job done, then there is the vehicles VIN number to get passed. It would be an EPA no-no for sure so anyone doing it would be liable.



In the quest for "never is enough" I have to say my 300/660 box is a nice upgrade. Never a code, livable EGT's, not too hard on the transmission and 3 adjustments on the fly. Heck most of the time its off and I have the puny CA SO.

Why not just get the BD downloader? I did this, plus the Outlook monitor which let's you adjust the power levels on the monitor. This way you could, say, upload the "tow" program, then lower the power output to get back down to a HO, or somewhere close. I've done this on my SO. So far I like it except the lack of instructions for the Outlook from Bullydog.
