I took delivery on a 2016 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel yesterday, there by ending an era. I took delivery of my 2001 Cummins nearly 15 years earlier, to the date. In 15 years, I drove it 265,789 miles, consumed 14,890 gallons of fuel for a total 17.8 mpg. Not bad considering the northeastern climate, snow and some long towing trips. $36,227 of fuel.

Lowest single tank MPG (6/2004): 10.12 -- Towing a 7000+ lb, high rise utility trailer, on I75 western side of FL, outside temps over 100F, A/C running and keeping up with 85+ mph traffic.

Highest single tank MPG (7/2015): 23.14 -- a 482 mile trip of mostly 60 mph driving.

Longest range (8/2010): 776.3 mile -- Home to Washington DC and almost all the way back. Traveling on US15 most of the way.

Two injection pumps (OEM and the current), 3 lift pumps. Way too many front wheel bearings. Still has the OEM clutch and only one replacement of the Slave/Master hydraulics for it. I was left stranded by an APPS and a broken tie rod.

All in all a great truck. I just don't want to row through 6 gears anymore and I no longer need this big of a truck.
