problems with cb BEHIND cb (fairly long)

help with jeep 2.5l to a 4.0. conversion

Quite a goose-egg there.

Haven't these people heard that if you so much as touch a cop, while he is arresting you, it is termed as assault?

That'll learn 'em. :D

The article I read said they chose to protest there because they heard war materials were being shipped out from that port. Wonder if these people would say they support our troops but not the war? They probably don't even support themselves.

Box them up and ask them where they want to live, they are not welcome here anymore. Protesting peacefully is one thing, assaulting police officers is another. The US is such a terrible place that these people should be granted free transportation to somewhere better, like Iraq or Afghanistan... ... ... ...

One of the "freed" young Iraqi men made a statement that basically said he couldn't understand the peace protestors and wish that they would come and live with Saddam for 20 years.

They would have a different prespective.

We have a nation of spoiled brats that don't understand the real cost of freedom, democracy, and justice.

I wonder... . did they have solid, indisputable proof that war materials were being shipped there? :-laf :-laf :-laf

I say let them rot in prison.

Killer hickie! My nephew [MP with two tours of guarding Taliban] just calls protestors Speedbumps. :D

Prison camp was way better than where they came from.

Have no idea if this is true or not, but I hope so... ... ... ... ... ... .....

To nobody's surprise there were protestors today in DC. They attempted to disrupt the metro system and block the Key Bridge, a leading artery into DC from Northern Virginia. I got hosed twice because I come in from No VA on the metro and it is raining hard, which makes traffic worse anyway. My commute was long and arduous and only caused further resentment for protestors (but that isn't the point of this thread). Anyway, I'll get to the point.

I got off my train in Rosslyn because I had to use the bathroom and the train was moving quite slowly. When I was getting back on the train, there were protestors on the train platform handing out pamphlets on the evils of America. I politely declined to take one.

An elderly woman was behind me getting off the escalator and a young (20ish) female protestor offered her a pamphlet, she politely declined. The young protestor put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a guesture of friendship and in a very soft voice said, "Ma'am, don't you care about the children of Iraq?"

The old woman looked up at her and said, "Honey, my first husband died in France during World War II so you could have the right to stand here and bad mouth your country. And if you touch me again, I'll stick this umbrella up your ass and open it. "

I'm glad to report that loud applause broke out among the onlookers and the young protestor was at a total loss for words.

I wish I had been there. I would have bought dinner for that lady.

JHerrlich

It would be nice if they would use that law. But it won't happen. Look at Hanoi Jane.

Proud of the USA

Thats my kind of woman. Maybe she should get hold of that girl in the picture morphious had and let it go:eek: See what that girl would look like after that old woman got hold of her. I know what she would look like after I finished her off:mad:

the right to protest peacefully is one of the things that make this country great, I will always support the right of these "blank" loonies to protest peacefully, but there is no right to disrupt the business of others or block traffic.

these "protesters" seem to have forgotten to read history, when the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s moved into what they called Civil Disobedience, they fully expected to get arrested and thrown in jail, and they never fought with the police, this new breed of clueless morons seems to think that there should be no consequences to their actions.

My personal opinion is that anyone who fights with the police, should be carried to the jail in an unconscious state, and then charged for the medical attention and ambulance fees along with being charged with assault
