Jay, Have you looked into the 2013s, there really look like they are going to be a big improvement in many ways. More power, better MPG, stronger frames, better front suspension, just to name a few. They will have DEF but that has been around so long that I don't see that as an issue.

One issue I have vacuum disconnect front axle was not worth a crap first time around and I see no new parts in this package.
also don't want the "new" truck issues

What problems are you having with it?

U name the issue, think mine was built on a late Friday afternoon just before a long weekend.
in 3 years it was in Rams possession for something like 2 months, the list is long and as I just found much was not put on the trucks "record" like when it was in for the limited slip not working. Driver seat clunking, oil plug blew out, rear window leak, seat belts in back locking and would not move in or out, entire fuel system went due to water and crap/WIF never came on I. e. never knew something was wrong (11 bay truck stop fuel, only made one payment), power steering hissing & cap failed, .....
and has just broken a front drive shaft on a maintained gravel road in 8" of snow, and no i was not doing something i shouldn't, I build and own rock crawlers so no need to wheel a 1 ton school bus.

Yeah and like on mine, getting closer to 5 yr. . feel like getting a new one later on. Im glad i have had no problem til now. . also in a few weeks, i have to take the truck back in to replace the front diff pinion seal. I have the cornerstone service package so it will be $100 to fix that. . in the same time the oil of it will be replaced . . due about now so that works...

I would wait and compare the 12 to the 13 in a test drive... . I have some customers that are not that happy with their 11-12s... . granted a few have 5. 9 trucks that are modified that they are comparing them to...

Is the trucks with DEF better than just the DPF?... i know it has a DPF but like the big volvo trucks that have the same, does it work better and require less heat of the engine to make the DPF work good?. If so i might get a 2013 or 14 when my 09 is up on the 5 yr.
