 I have been reading on some threads that you need at least 13. 5 psi for the vp-44 at the inlet? My truck must be sick? Have a lift pump pressure at 6 psi. 5-7 psi according to the manual. I know you guys are tired of these pump questions but would appreciate a direct answer. Thank you.

yes they are worthless

You must have 6 lbs pressure to the vp44 according to cryslurrr and 8 lbs as per cumins spec's. I have pre and post filter pressure senders to a gauge for me to monitor pressure. Sounds like you need a new lift pump. If I may suggest only buy clean fuel and it will let your lift pump last longer.

Thanks for the response. I thought something wasn't right. In February I believe it started to act up. The truck fires up and get alittle white smoke from time to time. Have heard on here that it can be decieving that it can be working some of time and not others. For codes I have none yet.
