So the President of GM wants to raise the fuel tax

So this clown wants the tax raised to 1. 00 per gallon. I had no intentions of ever owning a Govt. motors vehicle and after this insane idea I sure would not enforce it by purchasing one. Your thoughts ?

I believe they want the tax raised BY $1/gallon. It would not be the worst option IMO if it was accompanied by tax relief somewhere else. It would probably be more effective than government mandated CAFE standards.



If you consider the trillions spent on our Middle Eastern forays, that is a tax (borrowed) on gas, and it's a LOT more than $1/gallon.
