well it looks like ill be needing a new injection pump since my is possibly dead. im looking at new pumps and i want to know wich people like better im looking at the hrvp from ii or the lighting vp from scheid or maybe if i can get one soon enough one of those monster vps from farm boy diesel. i just wanna hear opinions on what ya'll think. all three sound great to me so let me hear what ya think. thanks in advanced matt

Hey Matt
I am in the same boat. I am looking at Blue Chip Diesel's vp44 because I believe it will be the last VP I will need to buy. At $1600 though it is steep.
Socalmat.

socalmat--I BELIEVE you're setting yourself up for a major temper tandrum if you think this will be the last pump you buy---it may be, but you need to know that there's no guarantees after 1 yr on any pump out there--and none if you tap the pump wire, except the new monsters did allow you to tap the wire and still have the warranty for one year, but that would need to be discussed with the vendor---so just don't go into this thinking because you buy a new pump you are safe forever----chris

well there's not enuff info on the new monsters except that the stage 1 and a stage 2 have been on trucks for a year, but beyond that there's not much anyone can say---my feeling is they are good to go, but that's just me and bears no merit really, I just feel that way---problem is getting one---chris

So what injection pump would work best?

Bosch P7100

:D:D:D

you know i had a 95 before this truck and i had a ton of problem w/ that one fuel pressure then the lp and leaky renturn lines. plus a whole bunch of others. the p7100 is nice but not easy to get installed so i think ill stick w/ a vp for now maybe another time.
