Just replaced my turbo inlet AirRaid 'wet' with a 'dry' filter. I LOL'd at the $46 High Tech pre-filter cover, so sewed my own from an old cotton T-Shirt.

Hittin' the road in 4 days, so, any warnings, experiences I might consider? Thanks.

Thanks Hector for the advice. We will have to learn to drive in clean air. and stay out of those polluted cites around the country.

A tee shirt will be way to restrictive.A good clean pre filter will restrict about 10% when they get dirty it will be much higher. My 94 had one on it for many miles and never had any issues, probably about 15 years and many dirt miles with a bit of street thrown in

BOB4X4: Thanks for comment re: experience. I'll be interweb cruising for some suitable poly-something fabric < $40. Mayhaps I'll find a cottage industry to support my habits this-a-way. I know S. Jobs was better at it, but hey...

p.s. My wife just offered her pantyhose...let 'cha know how that gambit turns out...

I've used pantyhose pre-filters on my BHAF's for years. Keeps out the big pieces. Indeed raid the wife's pantyhose drawer!
