Hmmmmm thats a Friday (after the 1st, (hung over employees) or a Monday truck. . I think I would request a Wednesday truck. :--)

It was D last time I checked. 1/2/04.

These are all built in Mexico right? From what I've seen around here they (being Hispanics in general) don't limit their partying to the weekends. I read another post that said the quality of the Mexican trucks was better that the US ones. So it probably does not make any difference what day it's built.

I ordered mine last Friday. Can someone tell me how,and when the dealer goes about getting a build date? How long after you order does the dealer know the build date? Thanks

Doug, difficult to give you an exact answer to your question. I think the ordering process often differs from dealer to dealer. In the Dodges I have ordered, I usually see it began to move along the building process after about two weeks. If there are no hold on parts, the process moves along fairly quickly. I ordered mine on December 3rd, went to "D" status on December 15th. On December 19th, truck went to "D1" status. This last status means it is ready to be built and a tentative build date is established. I received a call from Chrysler yesterday and today confirming a ship date of January 9th. Like I said ealier, I think the dealer has much to do with the process. I happen to have an excellent one in Oregon. I hope this helps. If I can help you, let me know. Lonnie

I ordered a Tomeygun Special on 12-12. Call DC today and found out a she's in D1. scheduled to be done and shiped 1-9. 15 days later she should be waiting for me HOPEFULLY> :D :D

My 96' went to it's new owner today , so I am cummings -less till on around the first week of Febuary. I am sure it will be worth the wait though. BTW is there a way to check status on the net or just keep calling customer service?

If you are a Calif person, I would understand the want for the new 600. But... ... Myself, being an X Calif. person, I bought the first series 04 and can live with the NO SMOG Cummins and 305 HP. It totally pin's you to the seat when you compair itto my old 98 12 valve. Any of you that are not in Calif land, I would get your dealer to do a search and get you one of the last of what I consider the "good" Cummins and do a dealer trade. Why load your truck up with smog equipment?? Just my 4. 38 cents worth. . :p :p :p

I just checked today and found my ship date is Jan 8, 2004. Status is D1 (whatever that means). FWIW, the last 6 digits of the VIN is 187447. Curious what other VIN's are.

I checked today and found my ship date is Jan 8, 2004. Status is D1. The guy said call back after 1/5/04 to get a railcar number. He was very helpful, vs the last person I talked with was clueless-I agreed to do the survey this time-I wonder if you get put in a better queue if you agree to do the survey... ;)

Mine has been built with the 305 HO and is sitting safe in my garage!!!!. . Im soo happy to be smog-lessOo. Oo. Oo.

There sure seems to be a lot of people knocking a new combo coming out, That nobody really knows for sure what it even has yet for smog or whatever! I guess that they don't understand we couldn't get what they have been able to get for the last 14 months or so, Unless of course we went out of state and bought used or found a way to finagle around it. I was'nt that enticed to do that since I already had a super clean 96' that would probaly last forever. That was sold the other day and now we wait. So now we have got our chance.

I guess all of you 2003-04 HO owners have bought your last new truck? Since these new ones will be such a pile of crap. IYHO.
