Competition Drag Racing At Its New Level!

When Division 2 and Division 3 meet up in Bowling green for the Division 3 season opener? Alot of the div3 guys are seasoned racers! Or will the Southern Rebels take the title of the TS Performance All Diesel Challenge? Maybe it will be a non-DHRA member?!? Will it be a Ford or a Dodge taking home first place? Maybe it'll be a certain Duramax coming for blood?

Or what about Jeff Garmon vs. Smoke Stack Racing's Lil' Red Cummins Express in a exhibition heads up macth? Two 3,??? lb trucks going at it in friendly competition!

Should be exciting. I'd say that we are going to make a bunch of Southern Kentuckians drool!

Oh we are gonna whip on you Northern Boys. :p :p :p

Let's see, we went to the track Saturday night for some "secret" test and tune.

I have successfully detuned my truck and ran consistant 14. 3's at 94 mph. So Eric, bring that ol' Stacked and Jacked on and lets race in the street class. ;) ;)

The Big news was the new Jeff Garmon truck. Yes it is fast... fast as hell. 1st pass was 11. 0 sec at 123 mph. Last pass was 10. 86 and we forgot the fire suit so that was it for the day.

Come on George, there is the mark to beat on No 2

10. 86..... now we need... . weight? 60'? 1/8th? Trap speed at 1/4?

If this were the Chevy site... . we'd need VIN and length of left arm of the driver that ran the time. :)

Matt

That works out to be around 655rwhp... . not too shabby.

The 60' time is SWEET!! That thing must hook very nicely... .

The increase in speed from the 1/8th to the end of the 1/4 is also very nice as well..... at least it proves that you're not running out of breath at 1/2 track! :)

Thanks for the info... . now I'm jealous of your 60' times!

April 26th!

It's only $5 to race! The GLTDR will be there in force for a campout inside the Motorsport Park. Go to www.beechbend.com to reserve your campsite today. Remember anyone can race, whether you are a DHRA member or not. The DHRA will have a film crew there shooting footage for www.diesel.tv and the Thunder in Muncie TV commercial.

Who all will be there? How about you Nashville guys?

Maybe it will be the bombedredsled guy from diesel central I hear his truck is fast. Faster than sledhumper or whoever that guy is that keeps mouthing him over there.

DHRA + film crew?!

Man you guys go all out... . ! You shootin' on 8, 16 or 35mm? ;)

I could take all those mini-DV tapes you'll likely be shooting on and edit something nice on my laptop at TiM. (Avid Xpress DV or Avid Newscutter XP mobile)

Matt,

We have our own Media/Advertising Department and the Director works with this crew exclusively. I'm not sure what type of equipment they use. They do their own editing, but thanks for the offer.

What calculator did you use for that. Its not what I came up with. And there was huge difference in the one that used weight and ET versus weight and trap speed, with the 2 calculators I used on the internet.

Crap... . I should have posted the URL for the site where I got the calculator from.

I know it was a ricer site..... maybe the #'s are inflated?!

I do know that my buddy's GMC Syclone of similar weight and aerodynamics made 625rwhp... . and he ran a 10. 96@125.

On the video/film editing front... . I just figured I'd throw my help out there... if you ever need my help or advice, let me know.
